Jojoba Golden oil (pronounced ho-ho-ba) is derived from the seed of the Simmondsia Chinensis plant which is a shrub however, when extracted its chemical classification is a liquid wax ester.

It is rich in monounsaturated fatty acids and has a rich golden colour. Jojoba oil is a light textured and fast-absorbing oil that contains Vitamin E, D, B1, B2 and A and minerals.

As we age our sebaceous glands produce less sebum which is why we get dry skin, but this oil plays the role of the sebum and works towards moisturising the skin as the ph level found in Jojoba is nearly identical to that of sebum that’s produced by our bodies.
