Oregano (Origanum Vulgare) Organic Essential Oil -15ml (Including IVA)

Oregano is a herb from the mint family, known for its dry, woody, and herbaceous aroma. Oregano Essential Oil is extracted through steam distillation and is valued for its potent natural properties. The oil contains three primary active components, Thymol, an anti-fungal agent, Rosmarinic Acid, a powerful anti-oxidant, and Carvacrol, a highly effective anti-bacterial compound and the most abundant constituent in the plant.

Thymol, a naturally occurring compound in Oregano Essential Oil, shares chemical similarities with menthol, the active component in Peppermint Essential Oil. Both Thymol and Menthol belong to a class of compounds called monoterpenes, which are known for their aromatic qualities and therapeutic effects. These compounds may help support relief from muscle aches, joint discomfort, rashes, and soft tissue irritation.

When applied topically, Oregano Essential Oil may help manage athlete’s foot or toenail fungus by targeting fungi, bacteria, and inflammation. For topical use as a natural anti-bacterial support, dilute oregano oil with a carrier oil such as Jojoba, Sweet Almond, or Grapeseed oil, and apply to the soles of the feet.

When inhaled, either through diffusion or by placing a few drops on a pillow, the aroma is processed by scent receptors in the brain’s emotional center, promoting a calming effect that helps relax both the mind and body and may encourage faster sleep onset. Dilution Guidelines:
For long-term use, dilute at 1% 3 drops of essential oil per 10 ml of carrier oil.
For short-term use, a 5% dilution may be used, 10–15 drops of essential oil per 10 ml of carrier oil.
