Rosehip (Rosa Canina) Organic Carrier Oil – 100ml (Including IVA)

Rosehip oil is derived from the fruit and seeds of the rose bush, which is commonly referred to as “rose hips”.  Flowers are single, small clusters with five petals ranging in colour from white to pink. The oil is obtained using the cold press extraction process, which takes place after the rose plant has bloomed and shed its petals. It’s worth noting that Rosehip Seed oil is extracted from the seeds of the rose hip only and Rose Oil is obtained from the rose petals.

Unrefined Rosehip oil has a reddish tint while refined Rosehip oil is yellow or pale in colour and has a tendency to spoil faster.

This fast-absorbing, non-greasy oil is high in anti-oxidants, anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-pigment properties which is great for anti-aging, hydration and hyperpigmentation.

When these fatty acids and vitamins A, C and E found in Rosehip are absorbed through the skin it prevents the breakdown of cell membranes, and skin cell regeneration is bolstered improving skin texture and discolouration.

Vitamin A is made up of several nutritional compounds including retinoids which is known to reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots, it can also stimulate the production of collagen to improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scarring and stretch marks.

Applied to areas with rough skin such as knees, elbows, and calloused heels, Rosehip Carrier Oil softens skin to restore its suppleness.

This oil is good for all skin types and is highly recommended for a mature skin. Rosehip can be used on its own or combined with Essential Oils to make a massage blend.
