Tea Tree (Melaleuca Alternifolia) Organic Essential Oil – 15ml (Including IVA)

Tea Tree Oil is derived from the leaves of the Melaleuca Alternifolia tree native to Australia and has been known for centuries for its therapeutic properties with its refreshing and woody scent.  The active ingredients in this herbal oil include terpene hydrocarbons, monoterpenes and sesquiterpenes which give it,  its anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory properties.

Studies have shown that this oil can help fight bacterial, fungal and viral infections as it stimulates the activity of white blood cells. which play a crucial role in the body’s defence against disease.  It has shown to be effective in relieving symptoms of athlete’s foot.

Research has also shown that the topical application of Tea Tree oil can help reduce inflammation and promote skin cell regeneration. One can mix three drops Tea Tree Oil to one teaspoon of Jojoba or Coconut Carrier Oil.  This oil is ideal for massage.

When used in a combination with Lavender Oil, Tree Tea Oil has shown to be effective in treating head lice.  It is also an effective mosquito repellent.

A common problem many people experience in their homes is mould infestation.  Diffusing Tea Tree Oil in the affected areas of your home can kill this mould and other bad bacteria.  When diffusing use between 10 to 15 drops of this oil.

Dilute at a percentage of 1% for long term use which is 3 drops Essential Oil to 10ml of a Carrier Oil.  A 5% dilution can be used for short term use which is between 10-15 drops Essential Oil to 10ml of a Carrier Oil.
